We’re 5 days in to our 7 day stay at 3 Dolphins Villa on Anguilla. Its only the four of us here and its fair to say that its been the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation we’ve had.
It is not the intent of this post to provide a review of the Villa. You can get those on TripAdvisor. In short, from us, we would give the villa 5 stars – that simple – and I’ll leave the details for other reviewers who like to do that type of thing. What I can say is that dealing with Chelle, the owner, was a fantastic experience and the two girls who staff the place, Kathleen and Jocelyn were wonderful, fun and discrete.
Essentially the only thing we’ve done here is eat, read, sleep and swim. Oh and one of us cycled a lot.
Our complete vacation logistics were to fly into St Maarten, take the GB Ferries boat to Blowing Point, rent a car from Andy’s car rentals and a bike from Ronnie Bryan, (203) 992.5407 (though next time I’d rent my car from Ronnie too). All were great, though rental cars are not what you might expect from an Avis or Hertz in the US or Europe (just saying – be prepared). We booked the villa through TripAdvisor and then dealt with Chelle directly.
We’ve eaten at The Beach Shack, Girauds Bakery, Cap Juluca (Pimms and Spice) (We got married at Cap Juluca nine years ago so its got sentimental value), Blanchards, Veya, Corner Bar and Pizza, Cuisinart for Lunch, Malliouhana for lunch and a number of times just cooking in the outdoor kitchen.
Veya had the best food by far – in fact the best food we’ve eaten for a while but everything else was very good. No complaints at all.
Oh yes, we also had a couples massage at Malliouhana Spa which we both agreed was the best massage we’ve had for a long, long time.
Now, if I can just find a way to retire here…
